Ebonyi LG Boss Ituma Commits to APC Mobilization for 2027

Eze Paul Ituma, the newly sworn-in Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, has pledged to implement Governor Francis Nwifuru's directive to mobilize support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Ituma cautioned opposition politicians to refrain from undermining the APC in Ohaukwu, stating that those unwilling to align with the ruling party should avoid the local government.

He emphasized that his focus is solely on politics, declaring, “I don’t have a shop... politics is my business.” This statement followed Governor Nwifuru's warning to the 13 newly elected local government chairmen that their tenure would depend on their ability to secure victories for the APC in their respective areas. Nwifuru made it clear that any chairman failing to deliver would be removed from office, urging them to mobilize voters effectively.

The governor's remarks were made during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki, attended by APC leaders and other stakeholders.
