Gov Sule Affirms Right to Endorse Successor in APC

During a statewide broadcast in Lafia, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule asserted his constitutional right to endorse a successor, expressing confidence in the capabilities and vision of his chosen aspirant. He highlighted the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s decision to adopt direct primaries for selecting candidates for the upcoming 2027 elections, ensuring that every aspirant is given a fair opportunity to contest.

Sule reassured party members that his endorsement does not preclude other aspirants from participating in the primaries. He called for a credible contest and urged APC members, youth, and community leaders to maintain peace and avoid hate speech or misinformation as the elections approach.

Sule also advised security agencies to remain neutral during the electoral process and encouraged young people to refrain from violence. He noted that consultations among political actors for the 2027 elections have already begun across various political blocs.
