Dalung Supports Fuel Subsidy Reintroduction Amid Criticism

Solomon Dalung, the former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, expressed his support for the reintroduction of fuel subsidies, aligning with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar's stance on the matter. During an appearance on Arise Television, Dalung argued that the withdrawal of fuel subsidies has not provided benefits to the Nigerian populace but has instead favored a select few in government.

He criticized the current administration's capacity to address corruption, asserting that it is fundamentally rooted in corruption itself. Additionally, Dalung acknowledged President Bola Tinubu's efforts in advocating for the establishment of state police, noting that while the benefits of such measures may take time to materialize, they are essential for the country's governance.
