Arrest Made in Rape Case of Deceased 20-Year-Old Woman

A video of a 20-year-old woman, who tragically died after allegedly being raped, has resurfaced on social media. In the video, she stated her intention to remain a virgin until marriage during an interview conducted by content creator Itz Patorchizzi in Asaba.

The Delta State Police Command announced the arrest of Ifeanyi Ogbonna, also known as Odogwu Asaba, in connection with her death. The woman had traveled to Asaba on June 1, 2026, at Ogbonna's invitation for content creation training.

Upon her arrival, she was allegedly raped and assaulted in a hotel. After returning home visibly distressed, she recorded a video detailing her emotional trauma from the incident.

Subsequently, she committed suicide by ingesting a toxic substance. The police, led by Yemi Oyeniyi, have initiated a thorough investigation into the allegations, assuring the victim's family and the public that anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law.
