Bala Claims Misleading Invitation to ADC Leadership Event

Nafiu Bala, a faction leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated in an interview that he was misled by former national chairman Ralph Nwosu into attending an event that was actually organized to unveil new leadership under David Mark. Initially believing it to be a simple gathering for new members, Bala realized during the event that proceedings had already begun, and Nwosu had stepped down, announcing a new executive team.

This development marked a significant turning point in the internal disputes within the ADC, raising concerns among members, including Bala. Following the controversial event, Bala rejected the new leadership arrangement and called for a national executive council meeting to consult across the country.

He also indicated plans to inform the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) about the situation and declared his intention to assume the role of acting national chairman. Bala described irregular actions, including alleged forgery of signatures related to the resignation of former executives, and announced potential legal action against those aligned with David Mark.
