Benedict Johnson's Five-Year Acting Hiatus Ends with New Roles

Benedict Johnson, a Nollywood actor, shared his challenging experience of going five years without receiving any acting roles. He disclosed this during a church service led by Pastor Jerri Ez in Abuja, where he expressed his struggles in the film industry, noting that no producers or directors contacted him for projects.

Despite this silence, he held onto his faith and relocated to Abuja to attend prayer programs, although colleagues had advised against this move. He decided to stay committed to prayer, which he believes led to a significant change in his career.

Starting in January 2026, Johnson reported that he had already featured in twelve projects and received invitations to work on film projects outside Nigeria, including scheduled travels to Germany and the United States. Additionally, he shared a personal note about his daughter's health challenges, indicating she is battling a serious illness but is showing improvement.
