Kalu Praises Tinubu, Ribadu for Oyo Rescue Operation

Orji Uzor Kalu, a senator representing Abia North, praised President Bola Tinubu and Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, for the successful rescue operation of pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State. In a statement signed on Wednesday, Kalu expressed that the rescue brought great relief to the victims' families and the nation.

He highlighted the coordinated efforts of various security agencies, including the Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services, National Intelligence Agency, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, which contributed to the operation's success. Kalu urged politicians and public office holders to refrain from politicizing security issues, emphasizing that security is not a partisan matter.

He called for sustained collaboration among Nigeria's security institutions and encouraged the public to support security agencies in their fight against insecurity. Kalu also expressed sympathy for the victims' families and urged security agencies to intensify intelligence gathering to ensure justice against kidnappers and terrorists.
