Ibadan Council Demolishes Notorious Criminal Hideout

Ambassador Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, led the demolition of a notorious criminal hideout in the Odo Ona area of Apata. This decisive action was taken in response to persistent complaints from residents and community leaders regarding the criminal activities that had plagued the area, including vandalism, theft, and robbery.

The hideout was reportedly used by criminals to store stolen items and conduct illegal operations. Akande emphasized his administration's commitment to protecting lives and properties, stating that criminality would not be tolerated within the local government.

He urged criminals to cease their activities or face legal consequences, while also encouraging community cooperation in reporting criminal activities. Mr.
