Ibom Air Donates 50,000 Malaria Drug Doses in Akwa Ibom

On April 24, 2026, Ibom Air donated 50,000 doses of anti-malaria drugs to the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health to alleviate the burden of malaria on children and pregnant women. The donation included 30,000 doses of sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine, 10,000 doses of Lokmal DT, and 10,000 doses of paracetamol.

The formal presentation took place in Uyo, with Ibom Air's CEO, Georg Uriesi, and members of the management team present to hand over the drugs to Dr. Ekem Emmanuel John, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Health, on behalf of the state government.

This initiative is part of Ibom Air's corporate social responsibility efforts, particularly in the fight against malaria. The airline also invited the public to participate in a walk against malaria scheduled for April 25, 2026, featuring health education sessions and special guest Dr.

Chinonso Egemba, aimed at raising awareness about malaria prevention.
