ICHC, Itsekiri Rep Disagree On PAP’s Performance

The Izon Cultural Heritage Centre (ICHC) and the sole representative of the Itsekiris in the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Shola Mese, are in disagreement over the performance of the program. Mese criticized the scope, mandate, and beneficiary selection process of the PAP, alleging favoritism towards the Ijaws.

On the other hand, ICHC, led by Apostle Bodmas Kemepadei, believes that the PAP should benefit the entire people of the Niger Delta region. Mese also criticized the allocation of amnesty slots and scholarships by PAP Administrator Dr.

Dennis Otuaro. ICHC expressed full confidence in Otuaro's leadership and urged him to ensure fairness and inclusivity.

The ICHC also condemned Mese's remarks, accusing him of attempting to mislead the public and stir unnecessary ethnic tension. They emphasized that the current phase of the PAP is focused on reintegration and should not reopen old disarmament claims or alter.
