ICRC Advocates PPPs for Reliable Healthcare Power in Nigeria

The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) in Nigeria emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships (PPPs) in ensuring reliable power in the healthcare sector. Speaking at the National Stakeholders Dialogue on Powering Health, ICRC's Jobson Ewalefoh highlighted the role of PPP models in transforming service delivery and optimizing costs in the health sector.

Ewalefoh noted the significant investment deficit in Nigeria's power sector and stressed the need for sustainable solutions to enhance healthcare services nationwide. PPPs were identified as a key strategy to improve power infrastructure in hospitals, reduce reliance on diesel generators, and create a resilient healthcare system in the country.
