Kebbi Governor Idris Creates Eight New Village Headships

On Wednesday, Governor Dr Nasir Idris of Kebbi State approved the establishment of eight new village headships in Koko District, located within the Koko/Besse Local Government Area. This decision was communicated through a statement by Alhaji Garba Umar Dutsinmari, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, in Birnin Kebbi.

The newly created traditional offices include Hakimin Dandashe, Hakimin Unguwar Albarkawa, Hakimin Unguwar Gwadabawa, Hakimin Unguwar Wurya, Hakimin Unguwar Illo, Hakimin Unguwar Mallamawa, Hakimin Kawo, and Hakimin Unguwar Rafin Kada. The appointed traditional title holders are: Alhaji Kabiru Sama’ila Danduste (Hakimin Dandashe), Alhaji Salihu Bello (Hakimin Unguwar Albarkawa), Alhaji Sama’ila Firchin Tukura (Hakimin Unguwar Gwadabawa), Abdullahi Salihu (Hakimin Unguwar Wurya), Mustapha Muhammad (Hakimin Unguwar Illo), Alhaji Ahmed Salihu (Hakimin Unguwar Mallamawa), Alhaji Musa Salihu (Hakimin Kawo), and Alhaji Ibrahim Salihu Koko (Hakimin Unguwar Rafin Kada).

Dutsinmari stated that these appointments were made in accordance with the Kebbi State Local Government Law, 2008, and urged the new office holders to demonstrate discipline, honesty, and dedication in their roles, contributing to grassroots administration and community development.
