Idu Village Head Calls for Peace and Unity in Sallah Message

Chief Moham Bawa Makama, the village head of Idu, delivered a Sallah message to the FCT community, calling for peace and tolerance among residents. He expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to celebrate Eid el-Adha and advised people to celebrate within their means, avoiding debt.

Makama emphasized the importance of sharing love and support during the festive period, regardless of religious affiliation, urging Christians and Muslims to promote unity. He also addressed politicians ahead of the 2027 elections, encouraging peaceful campaigns without insults.

A major concern raised was the lack of access to clean water, with residents suffering due to dry wells and inadequate supply. He appealed to the Minister of Water Resources for urgent assistance.

Makama highlighted the need for harmony among indigenes and non-indigenes, stressing that peaceful coexistence is essential for community development and attracting investors. He concluded by urging everyone to continue supporting one another and praying for peace and development in Idu.
