IFMA Nigeria Launches Oyo Branch for Smart Infrastructure

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Nigeria has expanded its operations by inaugurating a new branch in Oyo State, marking a significant move towards modernizing the built environment in Southwest Nigeria. This inauguration occurred during IFMA Nigeria's first strategic meeting on Sunday, which took place at the Nigerian Society of Engineers' secretariat in Ibadan.

Engr. Sheriff Daramola, the president of IFMA Nigeria, highlighted the critical connection between facility management and national economic growth, noting that IFMA members are positioned to attract global investors to Nigeria. The new Oyo branch aims to meet 21st-century global benchmarks for local infrastructure, supported by a global network of 25,000 members across 140 countries.

Barr. Sola Fatoki, the legal advisor, emphasized the interdisciplinary nature of facility management.

ESV Adejumo Babatund has been appointed to lead the new branch, alongside Engr. Ajiboy Akeem as secretary and Mr. Adeniran Olaid as treasurer, with a commitment to advancing the profession in the region.
