NIFEngM Advocates Technology and Energy Convergence in Nigeria

The Nigerian Institute of Facility Engineering Management (NIFEngM) highlighted the critical need for technology and energy convergence to drive Nigeria's development during the inauguration of the South-South region chapter on October 24, 2023, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Mr.

Christoph Egwuatu, the NIFEngM Chairman, stated that the event's theme focused on leveraging technological energy solutions to develop infrastructure and security. He noted that Nigeria is at a crossroads, facing complex challenges in energy, infrastructure, transport, healthcare, security, manufacturing, and the digital economy.

Egwuatu stressed the necessity for a deliberate application of technology to strengthen energy systems and protect critical infrastructure. He called for a dialogue among thought leaders, professionals, and policymakers to address these interrelated challenges, emphasizing that conventional approaches alone would not suffice in navigating the current developmental landscape.
