IG Disu Supports Mobile Police Training to Combat Insurgency

On Saturday, Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu expressed confidence in the Mobile Police Force's ability to address banditry and insurgency in Nigeria. He made these remarks during the opening of a training course for trainers and instructors at the Police Mobile Force Training College in Ende Hills, Nasarawa State.

Disu stated that the success of the Federal Government's efforts to combat these issues relies heavily on the operational readiness of the Mobile Police Force. He highlighted President Bola Tinubu's directive to security chiefs to restore peace and emphasized that the Mobile Police officers are specially trained for this purpose.

Disu noted that the expansion of the Mobile Police Force to 84 squadrons nationwide is part of a strategy to tackle complex security challenges, including terrorism and armed criminality. He called for enhanced training and commitment from the Mobile Police to ensure they are well-equipped to meet these challenges.
