IGP Disu Launches PMF Training Course in Nasarawa State

IGP Disu formally opened the Training Course for Trainers and Instructors of the Police Mobile Force (PMF) at the Police Mobile Force Training College in Ende-Hills, Nasarawa State. This course gathers selected PMF trainers and instructors nationwide to strengthen instructional capacity, sharpen tactical competence, and enhance operational readiness across the Force’s 84 PMF Squadrons.

Disu described the program as a strategic intervention necessary for adapting to Nigeria's increasingly complex security threats, including armed criminality, terrorism, and banditry. He emphasized the PMF's role as the tactical response arm of the Nigeria Police Force, requiring rapid transitions from routine policing to high-intensity operations.

Disu urged participants to view themselves as force multipliers and to focus on practical competence rather than merely obtaining certificates. He outlined a vision for a modern PMF that combines tactical strength with professionalism and respect for human dignity, stressing the importance of continuous operational readiness and high training standards.
