Igboho Vows to Combat Crime in South-West Nigeria

On Thursday, Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho and founder of Iru Ekun Security Network, declared the ongoing fight against criminal elements in South-West Nigeria. He attributed the recent decrease in kidnapping, banditry, and other crimes in Yorubaland to the tactical support from the Police, Nigerian Army, Department of State Service, and other security agencies.

This announcement was made during the launch of Iru Ekun in Akure, Ondo State. Igboho stressed that security is a collective responsibility and expressed commitment to restoring public confidence in the government's ability to provide safety for socioeconomic development.

He noted that the operations of Iru Ekun have led to a visible decline in criminal activities, including those by rogue herders and bandits. Igboho urged volunteers to report criminal activities to relevant authorities before taking action and warned them of the dangers involved.

He reaffirmed the organization's resolve to combat crime in the region and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration in enhancing security.
