Kelechi Iheanacho Joins Bursaspor from Celtic

Kelechi Iheanacho has officially joined Turkish club Bursaspor on a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029. The 29-year-old Nigerian international made the move as a free agent after his contract with Scottish champions Celtic expired on June 30.

Despite Celtic's attempts to extend his stay, including a reported fresh term offer, Iheanacho chose to pursue a new challenge in Turkey, attracted by a significantly better financial package. Iheanacho's career has included spells at Manchester City, Leicester City, Sevilla, and Celtic, where he scored nine goals in 24 appearances during the 2025-26 season, earning a reputation as a reliable match-winner.
