IHS Nigeria Launches Cloud Computing Training for Youths

IHS Nigeria has initiated a three-month cloud computing training program in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, targeting 30 youths in Kwara State. This program, part of the Re Start initiative, aims to address unemployment and underemployment by equipping participants with relevant digital skills.

The training, held at the Ilorin Innov Hub, will provide foundational knowledge and practical technical skills necessary for entry-level roles in the cloud technology sector. Habeeb Salawu, a specialist in global system security and cloud infrastructure administration at IHS Nigeria, emphasized the importance of investing in human capital to strengthen Nigeria's digital economy.

The program is designed to bridge the skills gap in the cloud computing field, where there is a significant demand for qualified professionals. Zumah Yahaya, director of the Ilorin Innov Hub, described the initiative as a major step towards expanding access to world-class digital education in Kwara State.

The program is offered at no cost to participants, reflecting a commitment to investing in the future of Nigerian youth.
