Baba-Ahmed Aims to Remove Tinubu in 2027 Elections

Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the current chairman of the People's Redemption Party and former special adviser on political matters to President Bola Tinubu, declared his intention to work towards ensuring that Bola Tinubu is not re-elected in the 2027 general elections.

In an interview with Channels TV, Baba-Ahmed criticized Tinubu's administration, stating that it has not effectively addressed the issues facing Nigeria, particularly insecurity and poverty. He emphasized that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has weakened itself through poor governance and anti-democratic practices.

Baba-Ahmed expressed a belief that it is possible to defeat the APC in the upcoming elections, citing the party's internal issues and the dissatisfaction of the Nigerian populace. He also mentioned that he would not accept any political appointments from Tinubu's administration and highlighted the need for a genuine coalition to challenge the ruling party.
