Goje Remains in APC Despite Senate Ticket Denial

On Saturday, Sen Muhammad Danjuma Goje, the former Governor of Gombe, affirmed his status as a full-fledged member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite being denied the party's ticket to return to the Senate for the fifth consecutive time in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This declaration came during a solidarity visit from his supporters, including members of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) and African Democratic Congress (ADC), who were lobbying for him to defect to another party.

Goje attributed the loss of his ticket to political disagreements with the current Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya. He emphasized that he has not defected and will announce his next political move soon, urging his supporters to remain loyal to the APC.

Reflecting on his 45 years in politics, Goje noted his successful election history and assured that his empowerment programs would continue regardless of his political status.
