APC Urged to Transform Osun Loss into 2027 Victory

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Osun State House of Assembly lawmaker, called on APC members in Osun State to convert their recent loss in the governorship election into a victory strategy for the 2027 general elections. In a statement released in Osogbo, he emphasized that electoral outcomes are influenced by multiple factors, including candidate appeal and campaign strategy, rather than blaming a single individual.

Oyintiloye urged party members to avoid post-election blame games and instead conduct a thorough review of their performance. He stressed the importance of reconciliation and strategic repositioning, stating that the party must begin preparations immediately to secure votes for President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates.

He also highlighted the need for party leaders to reconnect with grassroots members and address their concerns to restore confidence in the party. The recent governorship election saw Ademola Adeleke of the People's Democratic Party win with 511,067 votes against Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, who garnered 444,815 votes.
