Orji Uzor Kalu Urges Unity Amid Wike-APC Governors Dispute

Orji Uzor Kalu, the lawmaker representing the Abia North senatorial district, commented on the political disagreement between Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC). The APC governors rejected Wike’s Rainbow Coalition, which aims to field candidates across various states, as it conflicts with their political objectives.

Wike asserted that his coalition is intended to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and facilitate collaboration with politicians from different parties in other elections, clarifying that he did not seek an alliance with the APC Governors’ Forum. In a video posted on his Facebook page, Kalu stated that the confrontation was unnecessary and called for politicians to focus on improving the living conditions of Nigerians.

He emphasized the importance of addressing the suffering of citizens and advocated for a return to production and stabilization of electricity.
