Makanta Denies Fraud Allegations as ADC Guber Aspirant

Mallam Idrisu Makanta, a governorship aspirant for the 2027 elections in Niger State representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated during a media interview that he is unaware of any petition written against him. This petition allegedly calls for his disqualification due to claims of fraud and financial crimes being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Makanta denied any knowledge of such allegations and expressed confidence that the courts would ultimately decide the matter. He emphasized that he has not purchased the party's nomination form and is motivated to run for office to uplift his community.

Makanta also commented on the broader issues of insecurity and poverty affecting Niger State and the nation, asserting that these challenges stem from unequal distribution of wealth and resources.
