Imo Police Arrest Couple for Drug Trafficking

On Friday, at 6:30 AM, the Imo State Police Command's surveillance unit arrested Collin Iwunz, 51, and his wife Onyinyechi Iwunz, 43, in Umunjoku, Obiokwu, Amakohia Ubi, Owerri West LGA, Imo State. The couple was apprehended based on credible intelligence regarding their involvement in the sale of prohibited hard drugs.

During the operation, a bag containing assorted illicit substances was recovered. The suspects are currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing to facilitate prosecution.

DSP Henri Okoy, the spokesman for the Imo Police Command, provided this information in a press statement. CP Audu Garba Bosso, the Commissioner of Police for the Imo State Command, commended the operation's success and reiterated the command's commitment to combating drug-related crimes, urging the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
