Prophet Omitade Calls for Community Values to Combat Corruption

Prophet James Omitade, the Founder and General Overseer of the Holy Trinity Authority Prophetic Church International in Ado Ekiti, lamented the state of Nigeria as it approaches its 66th independence anniversary on October 1, 1960. He stated that poor governance, poverty, and suffering are results of endemic corruption and greed.

In his message titled “Nigeria’s Stunted Growth, Gains of Greediness,” Omitade noted that patriotism, once a hallmark of leadership, has diminished, leading to negative behaviors such as banditry and corruption. He acknowledged Nigeria's abundant resources but criticized the mismanagement of these opportunities.

Omitade emphasized the need for value reorientation among Nigerians, advocating for collective development over personal gain. He called for a revival of the community development ethos that characterized Nigeria's founding fathers to overcome the current challenges.
