INEC Starts Recruitment for Osun Governorship Election Staff

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated the recruitment process for ad hoc staff to support the upcoming Osun State governorship election, set for August 15, 2026. The application portal opened on June 27, 2026, and will automatically close at midnight on July 18, 2026.

INEC is inviting qualified Nigerian applicants for various electoral duties, including positions such as Supervisory Presiding Officer, Presiding Officer, Assistant Presiding Officer, and technical support staff. Eligible applicants must meet specific criteria, including being part of the National Youth Service Corps, former corps members, or students in their penultimate year at federal tertiary institutions.

INEC has warned prospective applicants against engaging in partisan political activities and has stated that applications from individuals demonstrating support for any political party or candidate will not be accepted.
