Minister Idris Congratulates Dr. Ibietan on APRA Re-election

Information Minister Mohammed Idris congratulated Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan on his re-election as Secretary-General of the African Public Relations Association (APRA).

This announcement was made following the APRA general assembly held in Swakopmund, Namibia. Idris described Ibietan's re-election as deserving recognition for his professional dedication and outstanding contributions to the public relations profession in Africa.

He noted that the re-election reflects the confidence in the public relations profession across the continent. On behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Idris commended Ibietan for his leadership capabilities and expressed optimism about his continued purposeful leadership at APRA, which aims to deepen collaboration across the continent and support Africa's digital transformation agenda.

Additionally, Idris mentioned Nigeria's anticipation of hosting the 37th APRA annual conference alongside the World Public Relations Forum in Abuja later in the year. Rabiu Ibrahim served as the special assistant to the Minister for media.
