Information Minister Idris Mourns NPC Chairman Wushishi

The Information Minister, Idris, expressed deep sorrow over the death of Aminu Wushishi, the Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC). In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Rabiu Ibrahim, Idris described Wushishi's death as a painful loss to the NPC, the public service, and the nation.

He highlighted Wushishi's dedication to national development, noting that he assumed office with a vision for a credible and technology-driven Population and Housing Census. This initiative aimed to provide reliable demographic data for effective national planning, reflecting Wushishi's strong sense of responsibility.

Idris commiserated with the Government and people of Niger State, as well as the community of Wushishi, where the deceased held the traditional title of Talban Wushishi. He extended condolences to Wushishi's family, colleagues, and friends, urging them to find strength in his legacy.

Idris prayed for Allah's forgiveness for Wushishi and for strength for those mourning his loss.
