Idris Mourns NPC Chairman Dr. Aminu Yusuf Wushishi

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, expressed profound shock and sadness over the death of Dr. Aminu Yusuf Wushishi, the chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC). In a statement signed by his special assistant on media, Rabiu Ibrahim, Idris stated that Wushishi’s death is a painful loss to the NPC, the public service, and the entire nation.

He described Wushishi as a close associate and a dedicated public servant whose commitment to national development was evident during his brief tenure at the Commission. Idris highlighted Wushishi's vision for a credible, technology-driven Population and Housing Census aimed at providing reliable data for national planning.

He extended condolences to the Government and people of Niger State, as well as to Wushishi's family, colleagues, and friends, praying for strength for those mourning his loss and forgiveness for the deceased’s shortcomings.
