Gobir Supports Military Offensive Against Bandits in Sokoto

Abdullahi Gobir, the former senator for Sokoto East and a member of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has publicly declared his full support for the ongoing military and security offensive against terrorists and bandits in Sokoto State. He stated that the time has come to reclaim communities from criminal control, as the persistent attacks on rural areas represent an unacceptable assault on human lives, agriculture, and the socio-economic fabric of the state.

Gobir emphasized that the escalating insecurity in Sokoto East and other vulnerable areas can no longer be tolerated and must be addressed with sustained, coordinated, and intelligence-driven operations by security agencies. He remarked that the people of Sokoto have endured enough and that terrorists and bandits should not dictate the future of their communities.

Gobir commended the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Community Guards Corps for their intensified operations aimed at eliminating criminal elements from their strongholds.
