APM Urges Government to Prioritize Citizens' Safety

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has called on the government to focus on delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians instead of allowing violent deaths and devastation. This statement came in response to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde's recent acquisition of two DA 42 MNG model surveillance aircraft aimed at improving security operations in the state.

The aircraft are capable of identifying targets from various altitudes. Dr.

Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the National Chairman of APM and the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), stated that effective use of these aircraft could bolster the efforts of security agencies, including the Amotekun Corps, in addressing issues such as terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping in Oyo State. The APM, under which Governor Makinde is reportedly campaigning for the presidency in 2027, urged the government to prioritize the safety of lives and property over political interests, asserting that the well-being of the populace is fundamental to democratic governance.
