Retired General Baiyeroju Urges Faith Amid Insecurity

During a graduation ceremony at New Covenant Bible Church in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday, retired Brigadier General Akinyemi Baiyeroju called on Nigerians to lean on God in the face of increasing insecurity. He emphasized the need for unity across tribal and political lines to combat crime effectively. Baiyeroju's remarks came amid reports of violent incidents, including the killing of Brigadier General Oseni Braimah at a military base in Benisheikh and attacks on a poultry farm in Ondo State, where three workers were killed and a farmer's daughter abducted. He urged the youth to live exemplary lives and to consult God during challenges. Baiyeroju's speech coincided with President Bola Tinubu's recent visit to Plateau State, addressing the ongoing security concerns in the region. The ceremony also featured speeches from other dignitaries, including Aderemi Ogunfowokan and Akinwal Johnson, who encouraged graduates to uphold values of faith and integrity.
