Fayose Criticizes Police for Inviting VeryDarkMan

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, stated that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) would face further embarrassment if social media activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, is invited to substantiate his corruption allegations against police officers. VeryDarkMan made these allegations during the 66th Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association in Port Harcourt, claiming that police officers at checkpoints provide kidnappers and bandits with information about travelers.

In response to the police's invitation for evidence, Ayodele Fayose criticized the Inspector-General of Police, suggesting that he should investigate the claims without needing evidence, as the corruption within the police is well-known. He asserted that even President Bola Tinubu is aware of the police's corrupt practices and urged the IGP to conduct undercover investigations to witness the corruption firsthand.

Fayose concluded that inviting VeryDarkMan would only further embarrass the police.
