IPAC Targets 2.5 Million Votes in Cross River for 2027

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Cross River State has set a target of 2.5 million votes for the upcoming 2027 elections. During a press conference in Calabar, IPAC Chairman Effiom Edet Okon emphasized the importance of voter registration and obtaining Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues its voter registration exercise.

Okon highlighted that this is a critical opportunity for eligible citizens to secure their place in the electoral process, stating, "No voter’s card, no voice; no registration, no participation in democracy." He called on all political parties, civil society organizations, youth, women’s groups, traditional rulers, religious leaders, market associations, and community stakeholders to ensure that no eligible citizen is left behind in the registration process, which is nearing its conclusion.
