Israel Strengthens AI Collaboration with Nigeria

On Thursday, Michael Freeman, the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, pledged to enhance collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI) between Israel and Nigeria. This commitment was made during the closing ceremony of a four-day entrepreneurship innovation bootcamp held in Abuja, organized by Innov8 Hub.

Freeman stated that the Israeli government aims to share its expertise in AI to support job creation and foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria. He expressed a desire for a strategic partnership that extends beyond existing programs, emphasizing the importance of engaging the Nigerian government and people.

Freeman highlighted that AI should be viewed as a tool for business growth rather than a threat to jobs, asserting that it can create opportunities tailored to local challenges. The bootcamp, facilitated by Unistream, focused on developing solutions to address African challenges and global problems.

Freeman's remarks underscored the potential for Nigerian entrepreneurs to evolve into successful global startups.
