Lamido Critiques Malami Over Theft Allegations

Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa State, has publicly criticized former Attorney General Abubakar Malami regarding accusations of theft. In an interview with DCL Hausa on Saturday, Lamido emphasized that he does not possess what Malami has, dismissing the allegations against him.

He recounted Malami's tenure as Minister of Justice, during which he initiated legal proceedings against various individuals. Lamido expressed frustration with the ongoing legal challenges Malami faces, which he attributes to political motivations, particularly during a time of internal divisions within the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

He referenced the involvement of former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau in a political movement with President Bola Tinubu, despite reaffirming his membership in the PDP. Lamido hinted at potential strategic alliances to combat long-standing corruption allegations and reiterated his commitment to guiding principles over personal interests.
