CJAN to Address Youth Issues at UNYA Summit 2026

The Corpers’ Journey Advocacy Network (CJAN) is set to address youth participation, innovation, and policy at the International Youth Day Summit Nigeria 2026, organized by the United Nations Youth Association-Nigeria (UNYA-NG). The virtual summit will take place on August 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

WAT via Microsoft Meet, commemorating International Youth Day under the theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.” The summit will focus on Global Solidarity, Shared Challenges, and Youth Innovation as interconnected sub-themes. Amb.

Taiwo Ajayi, Founder of CJAN and Director of Youth Advocacy and Policy at the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), is among the speakers. Ajayi will discuss the role of young people in governance and the importance of youth innovation.

The summit aims to highlight that young people are not merely beneficiaries of development but active contributors to sustainable development. Challenges such as unequal access to education and youth unemployment will also be addressed, emphasizing the need for coordinated responses informed by young people's experiences.
