Ize-Iyamu Concedes Edo South APC Ticket to Ogbeid-Ihama

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has conceded the Edo South senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Hon. Omoregi Ogbeid-Ihama after the recent party primaries.

The primaries were contested by different factions within the party, with Ogbeid-Ihama emerging as the candidate backed by major APC leaders in Edo South, including Governor Godwin Obaseki. In a statement issued late on Monday evening, Ize-Iyamu accepted the outcome of the primaries and called on party members to set aside personal interests and rally behind Ogbeid-Ihama in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

He expressed gratitude to party leaders and members for their unwavering support throughout his senatorial aspiration, emphasizing the importance of unity to strengthen the party and deliver quality representation for the people.
