JAMB Introduces One-Time Contact Update for Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved a one-time update for candidates to change their registered GSM numbers and email addresses, effective September 21, 2026. This policy is aimed at candidates who have lost access to their original contact details.

The update can be processed at designated Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, including Professional Test Centres (PTC), Professional Registration Centres (PRC), and applicable State Offices. Candidates must undergo identity and biometric verification before their contact details can be changed.

The service is limited to one update, so candidates are advised to ensure that the new information provided is accurate and accessible. JAMB has emphasized the importance of using only designated centres and avoiding unauthorized individuals or unofficial channels for this process.

The updated contact information will not require additional verification fees from the institutions, as it can be used for screening, admission processing, and other administrative purposes. This initiative is part of JAMB’s broader move towards enhancing technology-driven services for candidates.
