JAMB Orders Colleges to Submit Lists of Illegally Admitted Students

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed all colleges of education in Nigeria to submit comprehensive lists of students who were admitted outside the approved procedures. This directive aims to potentially regularize the status of these students following the approval by Minister Dr. Tunji Alausa for the condonement of candidates illegally admitted for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions.

JAMB's letter, signed by Director of Admissions Mohammed Babaji, was addressed to the provosts of the affected institutions, requesting the disclosure of all candidates whose admissions fall under this approval. Institutions are required to submit their records in an Excel format, adhering to a specified template, and must ensure that all submissions are accurate and endorsed by the provost.

JAMB has warned that any false declarations or omissions will not be tolerated. This initiative provides a pathway for affected students to have their cases reviewed, contingent upon the accuracy of the information provided by the institutions.
