JAMB Extends Direct Entry Registration Deadline to 2026

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for Direct Entry applications to May 8, 2026. This decision, disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, aims to provide eligible candidates with adequate opportunities to access tertiary education.

The board has also approved five additional registration centers to facilitate a smoother application process, particularly in areas experiencing high demand. The newly established centers include the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL) at the University of Ilorin in Kwara State, Bell University of Technology in Ogun State, Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State, Prof.

Usman E-Learning Centre at the Federal College of Education, Special Oyo in Oyo State, and Grace House in Iwaya Sabo, Lagos. These centers are set to commence operations on April 30, 2026, and are intended to ease congestion and improve access for candidates seeking to complete their Direct Entry registration.
