JIBWIS Supports Jingir for 2027 Elections, Advocates Unity

Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis-Sunnah (JIBWIS), headquartered in Jos, has expressed its support for the political stance of its National Chairman, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir, in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. This declaration was made in a communiqué signed by the National Secretary, Mas’ud Ibrahim Tulu, following a national symposium titled “Enhanced Political Participation and Social Justice as a Panacea for Unity and Development in Nigeria,” which took place at Saddeeq Event Centre in Jos.

The symposium gathered over 350 participants, including Islamic scholars, political leaders, and youth representatives, who advocated for responsible political engagement and social justice. JIBWIS asserted that all Muslims have a duty to engage constructively in Nigeria's political landscape and called for political actions to be based on peace, integrity, and respect for the Constitution.

The organization condemned violence, misinformation, and religious intolerance, urging citizens to pursue dialogue and lawful democratic processes.
