Namadi Confirms Gumel as Running Mate for 2027 Election

Malam Umar Namadi, the Governor of Jigawa State, officially announced that Engr Aminu Usman Gumel will remain his running mate for the 2027 governorship election. This decision was made during a meeting with a delegation from Gumel at the government house in Dutse.

Governor Namadi emphasized that his choice was based on Gumel's professional competence, loyalty, and significant contributions to the success of the administration. The announcement aimed to quell widespread political speculation regarding a possible replacement of the deputy governor, which had been fueled by perceptions of Gumel's previous political associations with former Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.

Despite past tensions, there has been a recent reconciliation. Gumel expressed his gratitude for Namadi's leadership and pledged his loyalty and commitment to supporting the governor in achieving the administration's development goals.
