Rivers, Jigawa ADC and Bauchi PDP Candidates Pick Running Mates

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidates in Rivers and Jigawa states, as well as the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Bauchi state, have announced their running mates for the upcoming gubernatorial elections. In Jigawa State, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim has been chosen as the deputy gubernatorial candidate, with the formal acceptance ceremony occurring on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

This decision followed consultations among party leaders and stakeholders. In Rivers State, Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson selected David Amapakay Okumgba as his running mate for the 2027 elections.

Dr. Chukwudi Dimgba, the chairman of ADC Rivers State, confirmed this decision in a statement to newsmen in Port Harcourt.

Meanwhile, in Bauchi State, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Usman Adamu Suphi, announced Abdulkadir Alin Bababa as his running mate, emphasizing the need to form a strong team ahead of the elections scheduled for May 29, 2027.
