Yuguda Defends Jonathan's Legacy Against Atiku's Claims

Bashir Yuguda, a former Minister of State for Finance, responded to Atiku Abubakar's criticisms of Goodluck Jonathan, asserting that Jonathan's legacy as a democratic leader and his economic reforms cannot be undermined by false claims. Yuguda highlighted Jonathan's extensive experience, having served in various capacities including Deputy Governor, Governor, and Vice President before his presidency.

He pointed out that Jonathan's administration contributed significantly to Nigeria's economic growth, making it Africa's largest economy and improving investor confidence. Yuguda also noted Jonathan's commitment to democratic values despite challenges during the 2015 elections.

He contrasted Jonathan's leadership style with that of Abubakar, suggesting that the latter's lack of experience hindered his ability to govern effectively. Yuguda's remarks were made in response to Abubakar's comments during a recent interview, where he criticized Jonathan's handling of national affairs.
