Fury and Joshua's December fight in jeopardy over promotion issues

The heavyweight boxing match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, scheduled for December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, is in jeopardy due to a conflict between rival promoters over UFC president Dana White's involvement. The fight was confirmed on September 24, 2026, as a collaboration between Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and White, with plans for Netflix to broadcast the event.

However, Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, claims White's participation violates their contract, leading to accusations from Fury that Hearn and Joshua are attempting to withdraw from the fight. Hearn stated that White cannot be part of the promotion, expressing frustration over the lack of communication regarding the Netflix deal.

Frank Warren, Fury's promoter, countered that White played a crucial role in securing the Netflix agreement. A press conference is expected to take place soon, as both camps aim to resolve the dispute with less than 11 weeks until the fight.

This matchup has faced multiple delays since 2020, with contracts for an undisputed heavyweight contest signed in 2021.
