SKJF Urges Rescue of Abducted Worshippers in Kaduna

The Southern Kaduna Journalists Forum (SKJF) has issued a communique calling for the rescue of worshippers and others abducted in Ariko Village, Kachia Local Government Area, during Easter celebrations. The communique, signed by SKJF Chairman Ango Balli, emphasizes the urgent need for the Kaduna State government and security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the victims.

The forum highlighted the growing insecurity in the region, which disrupts farming and commercial activities, threatening livelihoods and slowing socio-economic development. They called for increased security presence and collaboration among security agencies, traditional rulers, and religious leaders to enhance community safety.

The SKJF also urged the government to ensure the arrest and prosecution of kidnappers to restore public confidence. Furthermore, they commended Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive governance approach and encouraged sustained efforts to strengthen security and promote community development across Southern Kaduna.
