Julius Berger Expands CSR Efforts in Rivers State Schools

Julius Berger Nigeria PLC has intensified its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Rivers State, focusing on supporting schools and student sports sponsorship. The company sponsored the annual inter-house sports competition for schools, providing trophies for winners and ensuring the event's success through Canopi Logistics.

Hon. Chike, the company’s community liaison officer, encouraged pupils to focus on discipline and development. The firm remains committed to supporting academic and physical development initiatives.

Earlier in February, Julius Berger sponsored a joint inter-house sports competition for several schools across the state. Gabriel Ubani, the Secretary of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board, urged students to balance academic excellence with sports activities.

The company also supports orphanages with food relief materials and vocational training for girls, aiming to strengthen community resilience. These CSR efforts reflect Julius Berger's broader commitment to empowering communities beyond its core engineering operations.
